How NOT To Watch Porn.

It may seem obvious to some, but there's definitely a right way and a wrong way to watch porn. Chances are the vast majority of those reading this are surfing from website to website looking for the ultimate in FREE porn. BAD IDEA!!! Downloading free porn can cause you serious trouble. Probably not with law enforcement... since porn is legal entertainment in most communities around the world. But, you can meet up with the wrong kind of people by downloading free porn and not know it until it is too late. These "wrong kind of people" are internet criminals, and they use the lure of free porn to commit their crimes. Their crimes are varied and quite ingenious, but identity theft and fraud are quite often their main business. And, they're very, very clever in how they go about their business.

They love free porn because it serves as a huge playground for their schemes. Not only is the promise or seduction of free porn very attractive and popular with internet surfers... (yes, even the smartest ones), but they also know that a very large percentage of surfers who they victimize will be very hesitant, or too embarrassed to seek justice, or even complain about being victims. The stigma often associated with free porn that so many people do find embarrassing, often allows these criminals to get away without suffering any consequence at all.

How do they do it? Basically, they install software on your computer while your downloading your free porn which gives them access or even control of your computer. It is very unlikely that you will even know that what you are downloading is harmful, because their software is NOT a virus. So, the protection that Norton Anti-Virus, MacAffee, Panda, Avast and other anti-virus programs offer will not detect their software. In fact, with the newest versions of the software these very clever people develop... which is often referred to as malware, spyware or adware... there will be no protection against it at all. Protection only comes after the fact... when their methods and software can be analyzed. But by then, it is mostly a case of too little, too late. Their intent has been realized.

As of this writing, more than 890,000 versions of this type of software have been developed and are in use today. So, if you have not encountered this problem yet, keep downloading free porn and eventually you will.

What do they get out of it? Well, in some cases they arre able to monitor your internet communications. So, if sensitive information, like your name and credit card data is being transferred from your computer to another computer, they have a good chance of acquiring that information, and you become a victim of identity theft.

They can also, by gaining control of your computer, flood you with uncontrollable pop-ups that conventional pop-up filters and killers will have no effect against. Every time you click on the pop-up... even to close the screen... that click makes them money through a "click fraud" scheme which is typically very profitable. While you are not losing money through the click fraud angle, they will cleverly make it known that you can get rid of the constant pop-up problem you are experiencing, if you buy a software program designed to arrest this exact problem. And, just guess who is selling this software.

They can also hijack your homepage, your e-mail and even your screensaver. And, by the way, if you are downloading free porn through a network connection... like the one at your place of employment... this software can affect every computer in the network. Is free porn worth losing your job over?

In follow-up posts to this one, there will be information provided that may prove helpful if you have encountered any of these problems. There will also be information presented that will provide some level of protection against these issues... but not 100% protection... because no such protection exists. The best way to avoid the many pitfalls of free porn is not to download it. Stay away from TGPs (Thumbnail Gallery Posts). Stay away from any site that features an abundance of "free" galleries. And, be particularly suspicious of any site that promises you they are "100% free", or offer so much free porn you will never have to buy it, or make the point that you should never have to buy porn or pay for it. Look at this way, if you are looking for free porn, you are looking for trouble. Because, each and every time you attempt to download free porn you are flirting with disaster.
